Trip to London

Last year we went to a trip in London. I liked a lot the experience.

Our family was very nice but they were a lot (9) and the house wasn´t big enough (one of them and Aleix had to sleep in a sofa). They explained 3 kids were sons only of the father, 1 of the mother and 3 more were their sons in common.

 The food in the house wasn’t good, but, fortunately, we could buy everything we wanted during the day.  Very good sweets that don’t exist in Spain were found by us. I bought a lot of them.

If I could I would repeat the trip again this year!

Girls and boys should be taught separately

In the past, most of schools were only for boys or only for girls. Now, it has changed and most of the schools are mix. However, there are arguments both for and against it.

One of the main advantages of mix schools is that they help getting smaller the differences between boys and girls. It helps to reduce the machismo that still is in our society. Another argument in favour of mix schools is that it helps in the interrelations between the opposite sexes and helps to have friends which aren’t the same sex you are. It is obvious that if you are all the day in contact you start friend relationships easier than if you aren’t.

On the other hand, in mix schools boys and girls can be distracted when they are teenagers by the attractions they have to the opposite sex and slow their learning. Moreover, girls and boys often have a different way of learning for example in the sports class girls are often more flexible than boys and boys are stronger and faster.

On balance, I would say that although boys and girls can get distract when they are though together, boys and girls shouldn’t be taught separately because it helps to reduce the machismo. 

The end of an era

A sell-out crowd of 20000 people watched the last bullfight in Barcelona last Sunday. The Parliament of Catalonia who represents the majority of Catalan people passed a law which bans the bullfighting in all of Catalonia.

It is a good way to end animal abuse. Last year 7000 bulls were murdered in Spain practicing bullfights.

Some bullfighters’ lovers say that it is a Spanish tradition, and traditions must not be banned. In some African countries girls or women who commit adultery are buried to the neck and people throw stones at them until they die. This is a tradition, why it should be banned?  

Catalans politicians have made a good decision. It is good to end this animal abuse.

My summer holidays

I’ve had very good holidays this year. The first month I stayed at town meeting my friends, going to the pool, playing basketball, playing tennis, going to their houses…

On August I went to Menorca with my family and some friends.  I had a very good time there relaxing on the beach, going parting, with the horses’ festivals…

It isn’t the first time I go there and I hope it won’t be the last.

During all the summer I have also been working on the “Treball de recerca”, I don’t like it but we must do it.
